Threshold, the national housing charity, will bring glitz and glamour to Galway next month when it holds its annual Midsummer Concert in a bid to raise funds. The concert will feature live classical and traditional music performances, and will take place at the Aula Maxima, NUI Galway, on Tuesday, 10th June, at 8pm.

Founded in 1978 Threshold are a registered charity whose aim is to secure a right to housing, particularly for households experiencing the problems of poverty and exclusion.

Most importantly this event is also a way for the people of Galway to support the vital work undertaken by Threshold every day. In 2013, thousands of people contacted Threshold for help with their housing problems. We work with some of the most vulnerable people in Galway who are at serious risk of losing their home. Every day Threshold helps prevent two families from becoming homeless.

Vinnie along with Carl Hession [Irish composer, arranger and pianist] will be among the performers which include the Tribal Chamber Choir; The Corrib Quartet; poet, songwriter and dramatist, Pete Mullineux; and rising star Sani McNally.
